@ラスカル Thank you for a message. I will explain about this flower. It is called “Kiri” in Japan. 🇯🇵 It is called “Paulownia” in English. *”Kiri” was named ‘Paulownia’ by Siebold(Philip Frang B.von Siebold/1796-1866),a doctor who was in Dejima, Nagasaki at the end of the Edo period. *It seems that this was a dedication to Anna Paulowna, Queen of the Netherlands,🇳🇱 who provided financial support to Siebold. It is the origin of the nickname of Princess tree.
Everyday is…learning! How are you? I hope you have a great day! with smile together!😊
@節子 Thank you for a message. I know you live in the cold place in Japan. However…hot season/summer, You feel better, right?! My place(graveyard) in Hakodate, they say so. Let’s go for a good day together! with our smiles 😊😊
Good morning. ☺️✨ A lilac-pink flower, Paulownia tomentosa, commonly known as Princess Tree, a flower with a lovely color. Is it similar to the foxglove that I posted today? It's a very cute flower. 🐰💗
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) SAMA✨ Good mornevening ! 🌅🌃 Yumiko SAN are well informed.😄👌 Siebold fully understood how noble the plant was in Japan.🇯🇵 It was used as the family crest of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the Japanese regent.🪻🏯🤔 So Siebold dedicated the scientific name of the plant to the Dutch royal family.👑 At the present-day Dejima, Nagasaki, the event of "Oranie Festival" is held every spring. This is "The Netherlands King's birthday celebrations".🎊🙌 The deep friendship between Japan and the Netherlands continues to exsist.🇯🇵🇳🇱🤝🤗 I also posted the photos (No.2〜4) of the "Kiri" flower to GS on the 1st of this month.📸🌞✌️ So long. 👋🥰
