[@id:2931894] Thank you. You show “ Tamasudare”. So nice and elegant. We can share our flowers each other and enjoy! Lovely Nice day together! With smile
@はやとものかず Thank you. It’s a sort of traditional name in Japanese. I would like to know why they put “BenkeiSou” for this flower. Don’t you think?! I am now lunch time. Talkative! Let’s enjoy our flowers and everything! With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) The name comes from the fact that steams and leaves are succulent and do not wither even if they are cat and thrown away. Benkei died standing, so it is called Benkei's stranded death. 😓
@はやとものかず Great! You know well. They put a name with some reasons. Like a “Wasurenagusa”…I translate Unforgettable(Don’t forget me)Flowers You know the origin of the name of this flower?! It’s a sad story however it has romance. Good to talk to you. See U
@がっちゃん How nice. I am happy for you. I understand…we sometimes…it depends on our health situation mostly. Everyday is coming. One day is the other day. 🎶Sun rises and sets🎶 We will have a good time to show our photos and talk together! Shall we!
[@id:2827077] Nice story! In those days we learn how and what from the nature. Today we just go to the store and buy them. Time has been changed. We were told “listen to the old people what they say.” That’s true! We show our photos and have a good time together. Have great day! Smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) It's a story about going to the opposite bank to pick flowers for cheap lover, realizing that you can't survive being swept away by a rapid current, and throwing a flower at your lover, telling him not to forget me. It's stupid to drop ❓😅
@がっちゃん Definitely Yes!! I am happy to hear that Never give up. Ganba💪 Smile It’s getting colder. Let’s take care of ourselves and have a nice time on GS! You are doing well to make flower stand. I hope 🤞🏻 it will be well done. Enjoying time, yea!! Nice day together!
@はやとものかず Awesome! That’s the story. How romantic, don’t you think! Yesterday I posted “Gokulakuchouka& Sarusuberi” it’s very rare to see Gokuraku~here at this time. It’s over season. Sarusuberi…How long they have been blooming!! More the 100days(Hyakujitsukou). Oh…well Hyakujitsukou has also origin of the name. Originally it came from 🇨🇳 China. The lady, she always put pure red lipstick on. Very beautiful lady. She fell in love with the man and wanted to marry him. However she could not and died. Later they found unknown tree with pure red flowers around her graveyard. The flowers bloom long long days. Hyakujitsukou!! Nice story?! So the color of this flower…originally Red. I posted this for the first day when I saw this year. In June. Four months still blooming. Surprised! Whoops! Long talk…can’t stop! See U. With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Crape myrtle came from China. When I came to Japan, I saw the trunk skin and thought that monkes would not be able to climb it, so I named it monkey sliding. In China, 100days red flowers continue to bloom, so it is called crape myrtle. Japanese names are forcibly applied to Chinese names. 😅 猿滑り=百日紅😥🌳🌸🐒
[@id:2827077] Thank you, too. Definitely Yes. We here can not see and I can see the flowers and photos from GS friends. How nice! We are in the same world. Let’s share our photos each other and enjoy together! With smile
@がっちゃん “Serotonin”…the first time to know about this. Sorry about that. According to the explanation, having “Hasu, Gobo, Daizu,,,fish” They are good. I like any kind of food. It’s difficult to find unlike ones. You,too?! I saw your photos “Hypoestes”! How nice! Flowers and leaves. Leaves have fashioned color. Lovely Let’s have a good time to talk any kind of things. That’s our lives! Have a nice evening and relax for tomorrow! Let’s go! With smile
@はやとものかず Interesting! See…the origin of the name has some stories. Right the tree is really slippery. (Tsurutsuru) smile! Your White pine looks beautiful. Skillfully great. You made this! Not only Sake but also Pine! We enjoy our photos together. Let’s have a great day! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) There is a small mistake, 😥I didn't make the sake, I made the food that goes well with it. 🍱🍶 the pine bonsai is very small 🌲Do you like it? 🌲
@はやとものかず I’ve got you! We use Sake for cooking. Mirin, Sake, Shoyu! Typically Japanese good basic taste! “Bonsai” is now popular in America. People’s heart is the same in the world. “Iyasareru”, hearing ! I like them, too. I want to visit Japanese garden when I go back to Japan. Nice talk to you!
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) I wonder if I can buy miso and soy sauce all over the world now? It's a pity that the number of people making bonsai is decreasing in japan.
@がっちゃん Great! I am happy to hear your voice. You know our health is… it depends for what we eat & do.. No worry. Main thing is “confidence” (Jishin) We keep going with positive feelings! We are together on GS! How nice Have a great day! With smile
@はやとものかず Miso is today very popular. Especially people know about Japanese food more than before. Plus they say “ Japanese food is good for our health and diet”. Miso is one of them. Shushi also very popular. For the first time, how long ago~…in USA…one Japanese open his sushi-bar at Los Angels. He wanted to show one new thing to the people. It was called “California roll”. He put avocado 🥑 and make a sushi roll! This was the big hit! One smart Japanese made the people know what Sushi 🍣 is!! Probably he must be in a heaven today. In peace Long talk… see U With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Japan has cuisine from all over the world, so it is natural that japanese cuisine spreads all over the world. Ramen is also spreading all over the world. Let's eat something delicious today too. 🍖🍔🥞🥪🍜🍣🍤🍢🌮🍕🥐 🍽️🥢😋
@がっちゃん How nice! Right now I saw your several pics of Mandevilla. You take care of them well, I can tell. Great! We can show our photos each other and also can talk together! Let’s enjoy, shall we! With smile
@はやとものかず Good point! You know we call Japanese food. Chinese,Italian,French, Mexican,,,every country has its own “~ Food”. However we have never heard “American Food”!! Don’t you think it’s funny?! Also we do not say “English Food”,either. Interesting I dare to say American food…Hot dog(who put this name!),hamburger. #1.2 only…. To be continued With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Hot dogs orginated in the mid- 19th century. German immigrants who came to the United States brought sausages that were eaten in Frankfurt, it was eaten by hand, but since it was too hold directly, people began to eat hot dogs sandwiched dogs sandwiched between bread. It was originally called Dachshund sausage because it looked like a Dachshund. Cartoonist Tad Dorgan got his inspiration from a dachshund sausage, and that's where the title of the cartoon (How about a hot dog? )❓😅
@はやとものかず Lol !! I am laughing now…it’s 5:33 am. Good morning! Thank you for today. You know very well! Lol Yea! I have ever heard of that story. You know about Sandwich story?! Count. Sandwich was eager to play cards in those days. He played cards all day. When he became hungry he needed to eat. However still wanted to keep playing. So he ordered two pieces of bread and something to put in the between. Easy to eat with hands and enjoy games. The bread 🍞 was named Sandwich from his name. How is this?! I have read this article long time ago. It’s true or not, enjoyable. Nice to talk to you. Have a relaxing evening and see you tomorrow! With smile
@がっちゃん How nice! Nature has it’s own power. It’s strong! “Yanagiba~”here we still can see them. Since Spring…they have been blooming for a long time. Soon I will stop by them! Have a nice night and good sleep! With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) If Western food is sandwiches, Japanese food is sushi . 🍣 You can eat sushi in one bite. 🍣😋 Sandwiches are a popular bread dish in Japan as well. 🍞😋 But I can't eat it in one bite 😅 Hot dogs are even harder to eat ❓😅
@はやとものかず I am agree with you. I know…it’s hard for me to eat hamburger 🍔! How? Very thick and I can not make it. They eat it so dynamically. That’s American style. Hot dog 🌭…it depends on how big it is. I will be OK with small one. Anyway every country has its own popular food. Soon New Year is coming. I make “Osechi” by myself. Because we do not have here. In Hawaii we buy nice one. We are taking about Autumn 🍂, now we will talk about Winter. Have a good evening. I will talk to you later. With smile 😊
@がっちゃん You work 5 days and be off duty on Saturday and Sunday. It’s the best. One of my friends work at the hotel. You know “Night time Front desk”, it’s hard job, she says. Start working at 9:00pm~,finish at 6:00am. Go home and relax and sleep 12:00pm at noon! “Life is not so easy!” She says. I respect her. She has been working for a long time. Normal working time and day off It’s the best. And also it’s good for our health. I have already finished working. I retired when I was 50 years old. I remember when I used to work, it was enjoyable time. You have your work. How nice! Keep going on! With smile Have a good evening! I will see you later.
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Hamburgers are also popular in Japan. 🍔 some restaurants offer large hamburgers. 🍔 I can't eat it elegantly.😅 We don't have New Year dishes at home, so we eat hot food. 🍲😋🌁⛄🌁 Warm food is the best in winter. 😃⤴️⤴️
@はやとものかず Good! I like simple warm food. For example…Ramen, miso soup with rice,, With lots of vegetables. Chinese cabbage, Kimchee, seaweed, green onion, etc. a sort of sour & vege food. Recently I lost my weight…Now I try to eat more. I read one article. It says “5km running calorie = 2 🍚 🍚 (approximately 300calories)” Can you believe this? Surprised So…we do not have to run, and eat 🍚 instead of 2! Something like this👍 Whoops 😅 I just said I will try to gain. Still thinking of losing weight! Nice to talk with you. See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Are you on a diet 🈲🍔⚠️ I have never gained weight. 😅 I'm trying to have a balanced meal . Hot pot dishes such as sukiyaki are the best on cold days.🍲 😃⤴️⤴️ Diet is in moderation.
@がっちゃん I understand. Surely you sometimes have stress. Numbers…numbers!! Can not any mistake. How to get rid of our stress is a sort of the important 🔑 key. Congratulations 👏 you have finished to build the shelf. It looks nice. Right! When we feel tired, we need to change the channel and do something we like to do. Hobby! I like to go out. Get ☀️ sun, listening to music 🎶,walking, seeing flowers and take photos. Every morning at least for one hour. I am happy. Let’s talk about our hobby, how to spend our enjoyable time! See U
@がっちゃん I heard your working story…let me talk about my work. I used to be a simultaneous interpreter(douji tsuuyaku). English&Japanese as you know this work also hard one. I am in the between people who speak English and people who speak Japanese. The sentences are coming to me like a ping pong 🏓 game. Never mistake. When I was working, my heart was always beating(dokidoki) During that time, I thought “I will not be able to work with this for a long time.” I decided to finish my job when I was 50 years old. After that!!! 😄 Happy life. Enjoying days. No stress. My life has been changed. This is the one of my own story, however lots of people also think about retiring. I understand your feeling today. Let’s talk more and more!! To be continued…. See U
@はやとものかず Lol! I am not on diet. Just recently I lost my weight with some reasons. I have normally 100~102 pound For a one month/95~98 pound now That’s why I am trying to eat more!! I am happy🎶I eat big breakfast! Keep being healthy! With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) 100 pounds is about 45 kilograms. 😅 Is it too skinny if it gets lighter than that? 😥 Eat a lot of delicious food and gain weight. 😉
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Slim or smart, isn't it ❓😅 You can't be too fat, but you can't be too skinny either. I don't think many Japanese people are overweight. 😅 well-balanced figure 😅
@がっちゃん That’s great! In those days..,I remember 30year working and retire. *23year old~53. 30-30000000:It was in 1985~90. It’s much different from what it was it was in the past. To be continued… see U
@はやとものかず That’s right. You know…it was 1984. I stayed in Hawaii for my vacation. When I went to the 🏖 beach, 200 pound body people were hiding to show their body on the public… Now 2022…when we go to the same beach, nobody is hiding their body with 200 pound. Because everyone has it! Time has been changed. We Japanese are still good shape…however we will see…it’s coming soon to Japanese…I mean today’s boys & girls eat today’s food. They are tall and big! Powerful. Showing Japanese young energy. We senior are fine, aren’t we?! Happy food which we like and keep our body healthy!! See you With 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Isn't it embarrassing that everyone has the same body type ❓😅 I'm 180cmtall, which is Taller in Japan. Japanese people live long 😅maybe because there is less obesity ❓😅
@はやとものかず Great! We call 6-feet tall looking good in USA. I am 5.4feet tall. Not tall. Look at today’s lady’s singers. Big and tall. Probably video/camera worker do their best to make video/stage. Because young ones are so tall and big. Our generation…singers especially ladies are short and skinny. That’s the difference between ours and today’s! Time has been changed. Nice day together! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) 5.4 feet for a woman is a reasonable height in Japan. Volleyball and basketball players are very tall, but they stand out wherever they go 😅
@がっちゃん Great ! Me,too. Anyway the more we worked the more we got income. 💵 Surprised period…however if did not last long. After that we’ve shocked!! Economy effects us quickly. Well…good or bad…anyway we survived! Nice talk to you. With smile 😊
@はやとものかず Lol! That’s right. I remember…When I was looking for the house to buy, I visited on of the house. As soon as I went in the house, I felt dizzy 😵💫! Because kitchen, bathrooms, everything is extremely high. I thought “What’s going on this house..” After that I knew it is “The basketball players house”. Opposite way, they have hard life because of they are too tall. Funny story See U
@がっちゃん I remember NTT…I did not buy it! At that time,Iwas keen doing “Kabu”. I…had several and sold just before Bubble busted. I was lucky I bought the golf ⛳️ membership with those money…however…you know what I mean! “Easy come easy go”(Akusen-minitsukazu) Happy weekend? You slept very well. It’s good, when you want to sleep, just sleep as long as you can, even till 6:00pm! Awesome See you With smile
@はやとものかず Lol! I think they need a Long bed!! You know…sorry for them, they are not greatly normal. Probably they have some way to go their lives. Looking good 👍 nice ! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) If you're big, you'll need a big bed and house 😥 Cars will be cramped ❓😅 Small people have plenty of room 😅 Normal size was fine 😅
@がっちゃん How nice! I am happy to hear you are relaxing on the weekend. Everyday is coming. We need to be tough 💪 Be strong and be patient for our health. Me,too. Let’s have a good day together! 😊
@はやとものかず We are normal and fine. “Alice in wonderland”!! I remember. My weight is gradually coming back. Yesterday…98.7, so better than 95~! I eat rice(with see-weed/Konbu), 1 fried egg, something fish. By the way, In USA, we don’t eat raw eggs(namatamago). I wonder why?.. Actually they do not trust raw eggs to eat. That’s why I have not eaten it for a long time. “Tamagokake-gohan”!! Lovely. When I go back to Japan, my first meal is this! Funny?! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Eggs may contain salmonella 😥 In japan, they are washed with water and then packed and sold 🐣 Can be eaten raw 🐣 Overseas eggs should be safer if heated ❓😅
@はやとものかず Yes, we eat fried eggs 🍳 (medamayaki)this one is not so popular because it’s partly raw. They eat “over easy”. Baking both side and make well done. Some people say”Break the yolk” They are very sensitive about eggs. You are right! Salmonella is the 🔑 ! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Fried eggs 🍳are the best half - life 😃⤴️⤴️😋 Freshly cooked rice with raw egg and soy sauce is the most delicious 😋 Japanese eggs are safe 👍😉
@はやとものかず That’s great! I think so,too. You know…I got very nice thin beef to make “Sukiyaki”…However I could not use raw eggs. Finally I gave up.! It’s funny, yea?!’ Right now … I am listening the 🎶 “Toku kouji Mr.” lovely. See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Sukiyaki requires thin beef 🐮 If you want to eat it deliciously, you need a raw egg 🐣 If you don't have a raw egg, you can't call it sukiyaki 😥 It's a shame ❓😥
@はやとものかず I know…so unfortunately I can not eat Sukiyaki here USA. I am looking forward to going the Sukiyaki restaurant when I go back to Japan! Yes! Hopefully it’s coming next year! Nice day!? Go for it! See U
@はやとものかず Absolutely Yes, I will. My favorite place in Shinjuku..we just sit and have cocktails/talk. As lady comes an do take care of everything. We just enjoy. “Sugunidemo” desu🐶 Ice talk to you. Have a great day as usual! We can have a good communication anytime! With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) I think you will be able to enter and leave Japan if you can prove your vaccinations ❓😅 Enjoy your stay in Japan again 🎶😅 Have a great day 👍 😉
@はやとものかず Good question! I am not very sure about immigration situation in Japan. I mean Narita Airport I need contact with Japanese council in San Francisco I just avoid quarantine 14days one. It’s no sense to me. As usual, nice to talk to you. Thank you for your nice comments. Have a comfortable day! With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Today is Halloween 🎃 A catastrophe in Seoul 😱 A lot of people have died 😫 It's scary where people gather ❓😥 You don't see many people when you're in the countryside 😅
@はやとものかず Sorry for the people who got that accident. It’s very dangerous phenomenon. I have known it had happened at the sports festival. Lots of people lost their lives in a moment. Tragedy Here it’s a very quiet place. There is not crowed place at all. I sometimes miss it! Shopping center, department store, etc. When I fee so, I will go to San Francisco. It takes 45 minutes~by car. I stay there for a couple days and have a good time. Right now I have not been out since COVID-19 started(2020. 3/18th~). I am looking forward to going back to normal life style soon. Nice to talk to you. Let’s enjoy our photos each other and Communicate! Have a nice evening. With 😊 smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Two young Japanese woman were killed 😱 Many young people were killed 😱 There will be more opportunities for people to gather in Japan due to deregulation ❓😥 Young people like to get together and have a blast ❓😅
@はやとものかず I’ve heard that. Sorry for them and their family. I pray in peacefully. In summertime I used our place Fitness center. It has two swimming pools(outdoor). Now I go to my membership fitness club and swim(indoor). Completely booking system makes me more comfortable. Because we do not have to worry about our own line to swim. No necessary to share(2swimmers/a lane). Thins morning 9:00~10:00am After coming home, I will walk to see flowers. You walk everyday(except rainy day),right! It’s good for us. Nice to talk to you. Let’s have a nice day together! With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) 🏊♀️Swimming is very good for maintaining health 👍 Walking 🚶is also healthy, isn't it ❓😅 Looking for flowers while walking is also healthy 😅 🐕🐾Dogs are very happy too 😃 Going out to explore flowers today too Let's 🌸🚶🐕🐾
@はやとものかず That’s right! Everyday we do something exercise. That keeps us busy and healthy. Our life is good! LG I normally go out in the morning, gardening & cooking in the afternoon. Today I will cook “Nimono”. Hasu,Satoimo,Gobo,Carrot,Konnyaku…My favorite hood. With my own Dashi. You make Dashi by yourself?! If you want to know, I will let you know my recipe(simple and easy)! Nice evening?! Have a good one! With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) If you don't move your body, you'll be unhealthy 😥 Are you going to make dashi ❓😅 There are many commercial dashi soups sold in Japan 😅 Please enjoy delicious food today as well 🍲😋
@はやとものかず That’s right. I can see Dashi a lot at the Asian store. My dashi is useful. And inexpensive. I will tell you. Today(2:00am) became one hour behind(ahead)/usually I confuse this time change. We call “Day light saving”. This one makes me funny feeling. Right now it is 6:10am. Yesterday it was 7:10am. We have this two times a year. In Spring time~ Time will go back. How is the weather at your place? It’s still not cold yet? Make it sure to wear warm clothes. I started to use hand warmers. See U with smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Is commercial dashi soups expensive in America ❓😅 Ponzu is made with Sudachi from the garden 🍊 There was also consideration of daylight saving time in Japan, but in the end it was not 😅
@はやとものかず Right! Made in 🇯🇵 Japan/anything They are not cheep, I mean..comparing with the things made in USA. Shipping fee, tax, delivery…almost double price. For example “QP mayonnaise” it costs $7 at Asian store. Recently ⛽️ gas fee is pretty high. That makes more. I heard from my friend in Japan. The price is becoming higher. Same same Your today’s flower…very unique I can say it is elegant. Still thinking of “Delicious Sukiyaki 🥩 Beef”. 😋 I hope you are resting well now. Have a great day! I will talk to you later With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) I think Japanese products are sold in supermarkets for Japanese people 😅 It can't be healed that the price goes up in a distant country 😥 My house is all electric and I don't use gas 😅 My room is clean 😅 Electricity bills have also gone up I do 😥 life is going to be tough ❓😥
@はやとものかず That’s right. We here use only electric, it’s the same as you use. I remember “Sekiyu-Stobu”..,in my house. I am not sure they still use and enjoy with this. My mother put a “Omochi” on it. Time passes so fast. I would like to go back from now ~. (Natsukashii)🐶 Nice day! Talk to you soon
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) If there is a power outage in our house, it will be a disaster 😥 We can't live 😥 We can't live without electricity in a civilized society 😅 We are also connected by electricity 😅 Have a nice day today 👍 😉
@はやとものかず That’s true. In case of the emergency, I have one generator. I had terrible (weather)experiences when I was living in 🇬🇺 Guam(because of my job). Probably still it was the worst tropical typhoon 🌀 on Guam. I was living 12th floor. No electric for several days. Fortunately I could borrow a generator. I used it for the refrigerator. Elevator 🛗 doesn’t work. Up and down by myself. ~~~can not stop talking! We need to think about emergency situation. Prepare cash 💰!! I do!! Thank you for your nice comment. Nice to talk to you. Have a nice evening for tomorrow! With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Even if the power goes out, water will come out 🚰 There is a cassette stove 🔥 Baths and showers use water 😫 I'm having trouble with the lighting in my room 🌌 I can't watch the TV 📺😥 I can live with that 😅 Let's be grateful for electricity ⚡😉
@はやとものかず Right right!! If electric system stops, we can not get hot water…so cold shower 🚿! OMG!…When I was on Guam…I do not remember how I took shower,,it’s hot and humid on that Island, maybe…I took cold shower! I really feel that we are happy with normal life. I saw today’s Cactus. It has cute flowers. It’s gradually start blooming. You have lots of cactuses. Enjoyable! Have a nice evening! With smile
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Human civilization exists together with electricity ⚡ If there is no electricity, we will go back to the old days 😥 From now on, the cacti that bloom in winter will entertain us 🌵🌸 Have a nice day today 👍 😉
@はやとものかず Right! I will tell you…I have just watched “Yokoi Shoichi Mr.” What I call a survivor in Showa. He was appeared on the public (Guam 🇬🇺 in 1972). He had been his life by himself since 1944~! That’s a sort of Japanese Spirit. Respect 🫡 We now know lots of great people who are in peace(in the heaven) . I respect Japanese people who have done great job and gave us today’s technology, idea, skill…etc. They are not here today. Respect We will have a nice day…thinking of those great people. I can sleep well I.. Nice day together! See U tomorrow. With smile 😊
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Former sergeant Shoichi Yokoi lived in Guam for 28 years after the end of the war 😥 I think it was hard to survive alone ❓😥 After returning to Japan, he got married and lived his life until he was 82😅 It was an amazing life. I think ❓😅 We can't live like that 😅
@はやとものかず I know…that’s right. When he was found in the cave, he did not know the war was over. Strong, survival man! OMG! In USA, they know several Japanese vocabularies. “Ninjya, Samurai, Geisha, Kamikaze, Harakiri…”. More… Don’t you think it’s unique! They feel Japanese are strong. They respect what we are. I feel this and I am happy. Because that’s true. Nice evening? Have a good one! See U
@Yumiko (California U.S.A) Japanese people follow the rules and are gentlemanly 🙂 They wear Masks even if it is not mandatory 😷 They are well - behaved people 🙂 Many people are quiet ❓😅
